Two months ago, the Filamer Christian College –College of computer studies opens a competency based curriculum under the umbrella of Technical Education and skills development authority (TESDA), the Computer Hardware and Servicing NCII program that could be enrolled with a scholarship from our beloved President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. The Scholarship Program was then called PGS that could be one of the stepping stone of our helpless countrymen to achieve their goals in life. In FCC the PGS will be given to 20 individuals, this is only first come first serve basis since we focus our scholarships to those less fortunate.
With 20 enrollees, the CCS in collaboration with the college administrators put up the TESDA Training Center in the 4th floor of Technology Building besides the Speech Laboratory of the College. The training Center was filled of Tools, equipments and materials needed for the said training. The trainors of the program were consist of TVET Qualified Assessors such as Mr. Rommel B. Sario, Mrs. Erna Dela Cruz, and Mr. Ruel Papio. Being under the umbrella of TESDA the college does have its Tesda Focal in the personality of Mr. Jonathan Adjijil. Since the team of the best IT educators in harware servicing was completed they then never wasted their time in molding the 20 trainee, the best they could.
The core competencies of this training was divided into four parts; the Installation of Computer System and Network, Configuration of Computer System and Network, Diagnose and Troubleshoot of Computer System and Network, and the last, Maintaining Computer System and Network.
The training starts on May 10, 2009 that will cover the core competencies until July 22, 2009. Each student will be Assess by Assesors from TESDA and will have the last word to say if the student is competent or not competent.
Being assessed was being clouded by emotions, nervousness was never flew out in our trainees in CHS. Last July 23? 2009 two assesors assigned by tesda came to have the National assessment, from the Lifegoal International Institute was Mr. Seth Cruz and from Dumalag Vocational and Technical School (DVTS) was Mr. Rene Garrino. Captivating Capiz – The Genuine Cave
Having total land area of 11,559 hectares and with 24 barangays. Pilar, Capiz , Philippines is bounded with many physical attractions. Ranging from man-made to natural made. The most number one attraction is the Miraculous Medal at Agtalin hill in Barangay Dulangan. But there are many things a Pilareño can be proud of.
As you can remember in my previous post, that Pilar, as many people said, the name of Pilar came from the two tall caves in the northern part of the town that looks like an entrance. Then it gave it the name for its pillar like structure. One of this caves it this is found at Barangay Natividad, the largest barangay of the town.
School Of Fright
Almost 1km from the town proper to the west we can find the Marcia no M. Patricio National high school. The school is composed of 22 classrooms. In front of this are the national road and a rice field and a cave. At its back are also a rice field and a bigger cave. There are many supernatural events that are taking place in this particular school. And the cave in the back of the school is the most enchanting place. And even writing this gives me a goose bumps.
There are many stories about that place. Some of this is real and some are still in question. Exorcism also takes place, many student in that school are victims. The “tumandok” (person who are very particular in that place), said that there are many ghost and unbelievable structures that can be seen in the cave. The most bewitching is the story of the gold ship guarded by the beautiful lady in white. They said there are a lot of people who enter that cave that never returned. There are also Read more »
Aeta’s in the City of Roxas
In the city of Roxas you can never ignore to see those homeless people scattered in the city. This people can be described as dark skinned, short, small of frame, kinky hair, snub nose, and with big black eyes. They are Aeta’s, Ati in Hiligaynon dialect. From the mountains of the province of Capiz (like Jamindan), they walked a long way to reach the city. Hoping for a productive and blissful life. But it was defeated. They are present here at the city, uneducated, malnourish and homeless, and discriminated.
Everyday for them is like a rat-race, satisfying themselves in the alms found in the garbage polluted by dust just to surpass the painful affliction of the so called life. There days that they can never eat and they sleep so that they can’t feel the rumbling of their stomach.
Aeta’s are scattered in the city streets, from old to the youngest. While some children are busy going to school in the morning but children of Aeta’s are on the streets begging for an amount that can’t even sustains their need for food. The parents can’t find a work either for they are nomads without knowledge. If they can only have an education, but how? If they can’t even eat 3 times a day’ how could they go to school or send their young’s if they don’t have any single penny?
Painful to see for an Aeta’s to feel the fear of every people they meet. As if their totally different. Some never wanted to be their playmates because they seemed too dirty and educated. They are treated like people with dangerous illness.
They are also people, an indigenous group who seek for kindness and love. All they care is to survive in this cruel world. They don’t aspire for material things for this is nothing for them. All that they care is to find the greatest happiness on earth with acceptance from their neighbors and a never ending tale by love and happiness within their family.
Spectacle Nature
Nature has its trustworthiness profound significance in us. Being the source of everything and its magnificence picturesque are irrefutably perfect. It’s grand sculpted mountain ranges, bewitching caves and fall, and its dazzling bluish green sea waters are some of many exquisite features a person can tell about Mother Nature. There are many others to tell. But for now let me bring you first to another dreamy place but exist in this world. Open you’re mind as my pen portrays the magnificence of my spectacle nature. A place near water.
I was born in a place where you can never found a vast area of water, opposite to where our house is situated today. Last August 2007
my family moved in to Guintunoran, Natividad, Pilar, Capiz. A coastalarea where many resort and fishing ports are operating. Since I’m studying at Roxas City, a 1hour ride from Pilar proper, and goes home only every weekends I never missed going to the shoreline. I first go to my cousin’s
house to invite her to join my strolling at the shore. We always do the same thing walked in the shore up to “Punta” and are back again. This was our leisure time. If the low tide is wide. We cross to the isle of “Atub”. If ever she’s not around I just sit in one of the cottage in my uncle’s resort.
Placing myself near water or going there, refreshes my self, my mind, my perspective, my thoughts. This can make you feel that you’re a part of the beautiful creation God bestow in this earth. The calmness and the refreshing feeling that makes you’re mind free from worries.
Where you can see the sun sets in the horizon. And feel the breeze of the inviting sea. The sound of the running waves that tickles your ear. The extensive view the sea can give makes me realize how big the world is. Perfect! All this can be seen and feel in my spectacle nature. The bay of Bang-Ogay.
